About Ghillie Dhu
Originally St Thomas Episcopal Church, Ghillie Dhu has been beautifully restored to showcase the traditional features of the Grade A listed building tucked away in the desirable location of West End Edinburgh. A lively Scottish venue committed to showcasing live music every night of the week, we operate as a restaurant/pub/late night entertainment venue serving Scottish fayre throughout the day from breakfast and lunch to dinner.
Our award-winning Auditorium is located on the first floor, its high vaulted arch ceilings are flooded with colour and candlelit chandeliers, presenting a stunning adaptable setting for many events throughout the year including comedy, music and drama as well as weddings and private events. We are renown for hosting our public ceilidhs every weekend with the auditorium transforming into a club to dance away into the late hours. The main public bar offers hearty food, ales (including our very own specially brewed cask conditioned ale), music and cosy private booths.
