About Absolute Salsa Ltd
Absolute Salsa was created in 2000 by Lee Hunter, and since then has become the most successful salsa promoters in the East Midlands area. He has also produced his own line of DVDs which have been sold all over the world and Lee can be seen teaching at every major event around the UK.
Lee’s relaxed & fun approach to teaching has earned him his accolade of UK TOP TEACHER 2007-2008 and runner Up 2009-10. Lee can now safely boast that he has worked at every major event in the UK salsa calendar. Lee’s recent achievements include Derby Feste Arts Weekend and The Welcoming of the Olympic Torch to Derby by celebrating a Massive Brazilian party with Demonstrations from the Absolute Salsa Students, Steps For the Future, Element Dancers, Absolute BOKWA and 10 Piece Live Salsa Band Mambo Con Rumbo with a small crowd in the Market Place of 7000+ . Lee’s achievements don’t stop there, in May 2013 Lee flew over to Los Angeles to represent the UK at the worlds largest Salsa Event, LA Salsa Fest. Organised by Albert Torres this event saw the Biggest names in the Salsa Industry working all under one roof!
Lee runs classes at Rollerworld on Mondays, Deda Wednesdays in Derby and Long Eaton Thursdays as well as running successful monthly party nights at Deda with our Cube Nights and Long Eaton and Nunsfield Club (Derby) for our Fusion Nights. The ethos is Fun and every measure is taken to create a safe, friendly and non intimidating atmosphere.
