The newly qualified gym instructors would also design and set new gym programmes for clients as well as making sure that gym members are safe using the gym machines at all times. The Gym Instructor Course is definitely a stepping stone and most newly qualified students go on to further development by studying to become a personal trainer. This course is made of six units: Anatomy & Physiology; How to support clients who take part in exercise and physical activity; Health, Safety and Welfare in a Fitness Environments; Principles of Exercise Fitness and Health; Planning gym based exercise and Instructing gym based exercise.
