About Corris Mine Explorers
Take a step back in time and explore the abandoned workings of an old Welsh slate mine. First worked in 1836 and abandoned by the miners in the 1970s, these old workings remain untouched and forgotten.
It's like a virtual time capsule where you'll discover old machinery, tools, candles, discarded cigarette packets (from the days when you were allowed to smoke in the workplace!) as well as hearing actual stories of life in the mine, told in such a way that you can almost feel it creaking back to life. This is adventurous, historic, authentic and fun!
