Coffee Box

Coffee Box is located in the Hastings Centre, on The Ridge, opposite the Conquest Hospital. Coffee Box opened in 2013 to offer the finest quality, barista-style Italian “Illy” coffee and an array of savoury and sweet treats, including locally made cakes. Coffee Box also functions as a licenced bar and is available or hire for parties, celebrations and events. Our core passion is to give back to the community by being part of a social enterprise. We are really excited to be part of the international ‘Suspended Coffee’ movement. This means that whenever you come to Coffee Box you can buy any item from the menu for someone in need by asking for it to be ‘suspended’. Whenever someone who will benefit from your kindness and generosity comes in and asks if there are ‘suspended’ items available, we will pass on the food or drink you have bought. We aim to run Coffee Box as a social enterprise, meaning that we invest the profits back into the good of the local community, either through employing people who have been unemployed for some time and are looking for an opportunity to be trained and equipped with skills, or by donating to local projects such as Baby Basics Hastings and Hastings Foodbank.
