David Bailey has been giving guitar lessons privately and in both primary and secondary schools since 1993. He has taught students in small groups and individually. David teaches at all levels.
David, based in South Devon, gives lessons that focus on a variety of styles to suit the student’s taste. Recordings of the lesson material are provided, together with digitally recorded backing tracks for a most enjoyable learning experience. Both adults and children are catered for. THE FIRST LESSON IS FREE OF CHARGE. David teaches at his home and also works as a peripatetic guitar tutor. (There is plenty of car parking space at David’s address). David is prepared to travel to the students home depending on distance.
David has taught at both state and private schools and entered students of classical and electric guitar for Trinity College of Music and Rock School grade examinations, resulting in high pass rates.
David Bailey started to play the guitar at the age of thirteen, inspired by the electric guitar sound of Hank Marvin and a variety of other 1960’s musicians. Later he became interested in both folk and classical guitar. David was classically trained at Dartington College of Arts.
Regular fees -£26 one hour £16 half hour. Each lesson paid in advance.
