Sheffield Primary Care Trust (PCT) was a National Health Service organisation responsible for providing healthcare services in the city of Sheffield, England. It was established in April 2002 and ceased to exist on 31 March 2013 when it was abolished as part of the government's NHS reforms.

The PCT was responsible for commissioning healthcare services for the population of Sheffield, including GP practices, community health services, mental health services and specialist hospital care. It also provided public health advice and support to local authorities and other organisations. The PCT worked closely with other NHS organisations such as hospitals, ambulance trusts and mental health trusts to ensure that patients received the best possible care.

The PCT employed around 2,000 staff who worked across a range of disciplines including doctors, nurses, managers and administrators. It had an annual budget of £1 billion which it used to commission healthcare services from providers such as GPs, hospitals and community health providers.

The PCT had a strong focus on improving the quality of care provided by its commissioned services by setting targets for performance improvement and monitoring progress against these targets. It also invested in initiatives such as telehealth which enabled patients to access healthcare remotely via telephone or video link.

The PCT's work has been recognised nationally with awards from bodies such as the Department of Health and The King's Fund for its innovative approaches to service delivery.

Since its abolition in 2013, many of its functions have been taken over by NHS England or Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs). CCGs are groups of GPs who work together to plan local healthcare services based on their understanding of local needs.
