Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust (RCHT) is an NHS trust providing acute health services to residents of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. It is based in Truro, Cornwall and was formed in April 2002. RCHT is responsible for providing a range of services including A&E, surgery, maternity, outpatients, diagnostics and critical care, as well as community and mental health services.

The trust consists of two main hospitals, Royal Cornwall Hospital and West Cornwall Hospital. The Royal Cornwall Hospital is located in the centre of Truro and is the largest acute hospital in Cornwall, providing over 600 beds for a range of services. West Cornwall Hospital is located in Penzance and provides around 120 beds for a range of services. The trust also provides community services across Cornwall, including community nursing, community midwifery and health visiting.

RCHT works closely with other organisations such as Cornwall Council, Devon and Cornwall Police and the NHS Cornwall Partnership Board to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. The trust is also a major provider of training and education for health care professionals across Cornwall.

RCHT has received multiple awards for its excellence in patient care, including the Department of Health Quality Outcomes Award and the National Clinical Excellence Award. In 2019, the trust was rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission.
