Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is a mental health and community services provider in the North West of England. It provides services for adults, children, young people and their families across four boroughs in Greater Manchester: Bury, Oldham, Stockport and Tameside & Glossop. The Trust was established in April 2002 and employs over 4500 staff to deliver high quality care to its patients. The trust offers a range of mental health services including community mental health teams (CMHTs), crisis resolution teams (CRTs), early intervention teams (EITs) as well as specialist services such as eating disorders, personality disorder service and psychological therapies service. It also provides physical healthcare services such as district nursing, intermediate care for older people with complex needs and specialist palliative care for those nearing the end of life. In addition to providing clinical services the trust also has an education department which works closely with universities offering both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in nursing; physiotherapy; occupational therapy; speech & language therapy; dietetics; clinical psychology; social work; counselling psychology; art psychotherapy; music therapy and drama therapy.
