NHS Dumfries and Galloway is an NHS Board in Scotland, responsible for providing healthcare services to the people of Dumfries and Galloway. The board provides a range of services including acute hospital care, primary care, mental health and community health services.

The board has four main hospitals – the Royal Infirmary of Dumfries and Galloway, which is the main acute hospital; the Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary; Stranraer Hospital; and Cumnock Hospital. In addition to these hospitals, there are a number of smaller community hospitals located throughout the region.

NHS Dumfries and Galloway also provides a range of primary care services including GP practices, dental practices, opticians, pharmacies and other health centres. Mental health services are provided by local mental health teams as well as specialist mental health teams based at both the Royal Infirmary of Dumfries & Galloway and Stranraer Hospital. Community Health Services are provided by district nursing teams who work closely with GPs to provide support for people in their own homes or in residential settings.

The board works closely with partners such as local authorities to ensure that people have access to high quality healthcare services across the region. The board also works with local voluntary organisations to ensure that everyone has access to appropriate support when needed.
