University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW) is a large National Health Service (NHS) trust in the West Midlands of England. It provides acute hospital services to the population of Coventry, Warwickshire and surrounding areas. The trust was formed in April 2006 following the merger of two separate trusts: University Hospital Coventry NHS Trust and Walsgrave Hospitals NHS Trust.

The trust operates two main hospitals: University Hospital Coventry and the Hospital of St Cross in Rugby. UHCW also provides community health services, including mental health services, sexual health services, community nursing, district nursing, health visiting and school nursing.

UHCW is one of the largest employers in the region with over 9,000 staff members providing care for over 1 million people across Coventry and Warwickshire. The trust has an annual budget of £890 million and is responsible for delivering healthcare to more than 3 million people living within its catchment area.

UHCW has achieved numerous awards for its high quality care including; CQC Outstanding rating for end-of-life care, ‘Outstanding’ rating from Care Quality Commission (CQC), ‘Good’ rating from NHS Improvement (NHSI) and ‘Excellent’ rating from Patient-Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE). In addition to this, UHCW has been recognised as one of only four organisations nationally to receive a Silver Award from Investors in People for its commitment to developing staff skills and experience.
