Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) is a mental health and community trust in the East of England. It provides mental health, learning disability, physical healthcare and social care services to the people of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The trust was established in April 2011 following the merger of Cambridgeshire Primary Care Trust and Peterborough Primary Care Trust. The trust provides a range of services including acute mental health care, specialist learning disability services, community-based physical healthcare, substance misuse services, older people’s mental health services, primary care mental health services and specialist children’s services. CPFT also works closely with other organisations such as local authorities to provide integrated care for patients. CPFT has an excellent reputation for providing high quality patient care and has been recognised by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as ‘Good’ overall in its latest inspection report. The trust has also achieved national recognition for its work on improving access to psychological therapies through its Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme. The trust is committed to delivering excellent patient care through innovation and partnership working with other organisations across the region. It works closely with local authorities, voluntary sector organisations and universities to ensure that it meets the needs of all those who use its services.
