Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (BTHFT) is an NHS trust providing acute, specialist and community healthcare services in Bradford and the surrounding area of West Yorkshire, England. The trust was formed in April 2001 and serves a population of around 1.3 million people across Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven, as well as parts of Harrogate district. The trust provides a range of services from acute care in hospitals such as Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Luke's Hospital in Bradford, to community services including District Nursing, Health Visiting, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. The trust also runs an Urgent Care Centre at Bradford Royal Infirmary which provides emergency care for those who are not seriously ill or injured. The trust has been rated 'Good' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care in England. The Trust has also established close links with other healthcare providers across Europe through its membership of EUROPRIM Consortium which encourages collaboration on healthcare initiatives and medical research projects.
