Lympne Castle The castle itself has parts which date back to the 13th Century and has witnesses invasions by the Danes and the Normans. It was formerly the home of the Archdeacon of Canterbury and was once occupied by Thomas A Beckett. During World War II, Lympme Castle played the role of an observation post. With these credentials, Lympne Castle merits it’s Grade 1 Listing as being of architectural and historic interest. The castle has an authenticity and ambience that rarely fails to charm. Whether you enjoy the view form the terrace on a summer afternoon or toast by one of our open fires on a chilly evening, Lympne Castle is the perfect place to welcome and impress.
