Japjeet Kaur Khalsa is an internationally certified Kundalini Yoga teacher (KRI & KYTA). She has been teaching KY since 2008 and has specialised in KY for stress-management, burn-out & depression, addiction recovery, pre- and postnatal work, and women's teachings. She also helps train new teachers.
Kundalini Yoga is the most powerful of all yoga schools and comprises physical yoga, pranayam (breathing), meditation, mindfulness, lifestyle & diet. It is quite a dynamic form of yoga for which flexibility is not required. It is mainly characterised by repetitive exercises, a strong attention to the breath which helps intensify the effects of the poses with the purpose of freeing energy in the lower body and allowing it to move upwards, and the use of mantra's.
