The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association NHS Cashback

The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association is a charitable organisation that provides invaluable support to those who are visually impaired. The Association works with partners and volunteers to train guide dogs and provide a range of services to people living with sight loss. NHS staff can benefit from the services provided by the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, whether they are doctors, nurses, paramedics or administrators. From providing long-term assistance through guide dogs, to offering information and advice on visual impairment, the charity has something for everyone in the NHS. For doctors and nurses who are looking after patients with sight loss, there is a wealth of information about assistive technology and devices available to them. The Association also offers free training sessions which focus on how best to approach supporting people with vision loss and how to use different types of equipment safely. Paramedics working in emergency situations may find help in the form of a trained assistance dog – these animals are specially trained to respond quickly in emergency situations and can offer vital support when it is needed most. Administrators within NHS trusts will be able to access resources such as fact sheets, leaflets and posters which provide essential information about vision impairment that can be used throughout their organisations. By working together, The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and NHS staff can help improve quality of life for those living with visual impairment.
