North Staffordshire Primary Care Trust (PCT) was a primary care trust in England. It provided NHS services to the people of North Staffordshire, which includes Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme. The PCT was responsible for commissioning healthcare services from local providers such as GPs, hospitals, mental health trusts and community services. It also had responsibility for public health initiatives such as smoking cessation and sexual health promotion.

The PCT was established in 2002 following the introduction of the NHS Plan by the Labour government. The aim of the plan was to improve patient care by increasing collaboration between different parts of the NHS. The PCT worked closely with other organisations such as local authorities, social services and voluntary sector organisations to ensure that all patients received high quality care.

The PCT also had responsibility for commissioning new services, developing innovative ways of working and improving access to healthcare in North Staffordshire. It achieved this through its various programmes including Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT), Healthier Together (a partnership between NHS providers) and Mental Health Services Transformation Programme (MHSTP).

In April 2013, North Staffordshire PCT ceased operations after it merged with neighbouring Shropshire Primary Care Trusts to form a new organisation called Shropshire & Telford & Wrekin Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). This CCG is now responsible for commissioning healthcare services in both areas.
