Good Beer GuideShears Inn Paris Gates is somewhere you would love to visit, firstly the challenge of finding it, the first thrill, spotting it at the bottom of the cobbled road just after passing a large mill chimney, You would never expect to find a pub in this unique location, The pub used to be in rolling fields and then way back in the 1800's the mills were built around it.
The cobbled road running at the back of the pub is so narrow that you would never believe it used to be the London to York road, but if you shut your eyes you can almost here the horses and carriages rumbling past. We sell Great real Ale, Premium Lagers and Homemade food with Locally sourced produce and sits underneath Holdsworth mill, which now is host to a brand new art Gallery called the Artworks.
We appeal to both older and younger clientele as we have a children's play area well away from the pub itself. Dean will always cheer you up with his humor as long as you take him with a pinch of salt when he teases you.

Our Lunches are served between 12 and 4 (we will cater for larger bookings after this time) and priced at £7.99 for one course, £9.99 for 2 courses and £10.99 for three courses. We offer a selection of at least 6 starters, 10 main courses including our renowned pies, (e.g. steak and stilton pie, steak and mushroom, chicken and mushroom) and further delicious homemade dessert choices.

We can cater for group bookings of up to 50 people - these might include funerals, small weddings and family parties (including: christenings, engagement, or even divorce parties). Please, just contact us to discuss requirements.
