About The Hop Pole Pub
The Hop Pole is a traditional English pub, with a beautiful canal-side setting, boasting a beautiful outside drinking and dining area. It has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard with contemporary design in 2009/10, and opened in July 2010, presenting the area with a colourful, bright outlet, specialising in great pub food, benefiting from a fabulous collection of quality wines and real ales, many from local breweries.
Walking through the door has been likened to walking onto the set of Tim Burton's 'Alice in Wonderland', with bright patchwork sofas and chez-longues, multicoloured chandellers, and a gothic-esque carved bar.
We classify ourselves as a 'Pub with Food', and warmly welcome diners and drinkers alike. We have gained a fabulous reputation as being the venue for summer outside drinking and eating, and when the sun is shining, down be the canal is definitely the place to be seen.
