At Life Fit we specialise in the treatment of musculoskeletal problems. This is the area of physiotherapy that deals with back and neck pain, joint and muscular problems, ligament tears, sports injuries and rehabilitation after surgery to name but a few. Our team of Chartered Physiotherapists are exceptionally well-qualified and have expertise in managing Musculoskeletal, Work-related and Sports Injuries.
The physiotherapy we practice is based on many years of clinical experience, extensive knowledge continually updated through regular CPD, and current evidence-based practice. We follow a ‘bio-psycho-social’ approach which essentially looks at the person as a whole, meaning you come first. This approach not only addresses the physical components of injury, but consideration is given to your environment and psychological factors that contribute to a person’s health. There is good evidence to suggest that addressing all three factors improves how likely a person is to recover.
Our physiotherapists have a wide array of clinical skills ranging from manual therapy (joint and soft-tissue mobilisation/manipulation) and exercise prescription to ergonomic advice and lifestyle management. On your first visit we will take time to discuss your issue, fully assess the problem and not only assist you in the short-term, but aim to ascertain the cause of your issues to minimize the likelihood of recurrence. While the body can be complex, we aim to make things simple! We strive to provide you with a good understanding of your problem, thus enabling you to deal with it more effectively.
Our Chartered Physiotherapists work alongside the Life Fit Wellness team of healthcare professionals so that we can refer you onwards if required as well as offering a range of classes to assist in the long term. This integrated approach creates a seamless transition and continuous progression through your rehabilitation and beyond.
