We relished a gourmet feast served by friendly, helpful staff. Appetisers consisted of succulent prawn pakoras deep fried in a thin, delicately spiced, crisp batter; tender chicken lollipops; chilli paneer in a rich peppery sauce; and a stir fry of tender aubergine slices encased in a crunchy and lightly salted coating. The lamb biryani and buttery chicken masala, with homemade raita, chutneys and pickles to complement the dishes, offered a fusion of aromatic flavours. This was food to be savoured, not hurried.
As the national bird of India, a peacock theme runs through the decor of this contemporary eatery. It is a symbol of grace, joy, beauty and love; qualities reflected in this exceptional restaurant. Be sure not to miss Santhi – a shining example of great Indian dining.
