West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust is a National Health Service (NHS) trust which provides acute healthcare services to the people of West Hertfordshire and beyond. The Trust runs three hospitals – Watford General Hospital, St Albans City Hospital and Hemel Hempstead Hospital – as well as a range of community services across the region.

The Trust was established in 1999 following the merger of two former hospital trusts. It serves a population of over 500,000 people and employs more than 5,000 staff. The Trust is one of the largest employers in West Hertfordshire, providing jobs for doctors, nurses, midwives, allied health professionals and administrative staff.

The Trust is committed to delivering high-quality care for all its patients and strives to provide safe, effective and efficient services that meet local needs. It also works closely with local authorities to ensure that health needs are met within their communities. As part of its vision for improving patient experience further it has recently introduced new digital technologies such as online booking systems which allow patients greater control over their appointment times whilst reducing waiting times significantly .
