Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a large acute hospital trust located in the East of England. It provides healthcare services to a population of over 800,000 people across Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Rutland. The trust operates two main hospitals: Peterborough City Hospital and Stamford & Rutland Hospital.

The trust was established in April 2011 following the merger of Peterborough Hospitals NHS Trust and Stamford & Rutland Hospitals NHS Trust. It is one of the largest trusts in the country, with an annual turnover of £700 million and more than 8,000 staff.

The trust provides a wide range of services including emergency care, maternity services, critical care, surgery, cancer care and mental health services. It also runs a number of specialist services such as cardiology, neurology and renal dialysis. In addition to its hospitals, the trust also operates community health services across the region.

The trust has achieved several awards for its quality of care including an ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in 2017. It has also been recognised for its commitment to research and innovation by being awarded ‘Innovation Excellence’ status by NHS England in 2018.
