Cloggs began as a single boutique located in Birmingham’s famed home of alternative shopping, the Oasis Market, in 1979. We were founded by Russell Thomas, and to this day Cloggs remains a family business, with his son Chris in the role of Managing Director. By keeping Cloggs close to its roots, we’ve benefitted from years of shared experience and expertise, as well as continually aiming for the same goal; to become the number one retailer for branded footwear. Cloggs was one of the first footwear retailers to fully embrace the online revolution, setting up Cloggs.co.uk in 1998 and experiencing phenomenal success in the early days of the internet. In 2008, Cloggs became a dedicated footwear-only retailer, having sold a wide range of apparel previously. We’re now beginning to diversify once again, with a fantastic and growing range of accessories. We made this decision in the knowledge that the perfect bag or purse can be the ideal accompaniment for a pair of shoes.
