About The Salt Cave

Salt Therapy aka Halotherapy is a natural treatment in a controlled air medium that simulates the natural salt cave microclimate to treat respiratory and skin conditions. The Salt Cave is a chain of clinics providing 100% natural, risk-free Salt Therapy treatments. Visitors merely sit back in one of our treatment rooms, where the healing micro-climate of a natural salt cave is reproduced by the most advanced device called Breeze Tronic Pro. This technology is used ONLY by The Salt Cave franchise in the United Kingdom. After becoming passionate about the efficacy of Salt Therapy, founders Denes Gal and Sofia Benke began a journey of consultation with scientists and doctors to develop Breeze Tronic Pro, the most sophisticated technology for replicating a salt cave. Strategic sensors are just one of the ways the salt levels in the atmosphere are continually monitored in our treatment rooms. Salt has the following properties: Antibacterial Anti-inflammatory Mucolytic effects: loosens excessive mucus and speeds up mucociliary transport Removes pathogen agents (airborne pollen) Reduces IgE level (immune system oversensitivity) While relaxing in one of our treatment rooms, customers inhale the dry, salt-enriched air deep down into the lungs. The salt loosens the mucus, which begins to clear quickly, and inflammation is reduced, which makes more room in the airways for you to breathe. Symptoms subside, sometimes for up to 12 months. Over 25,000 patients visited The Salt Cave clinics in the first five years. According to a survey 9 out of 10 clients recommends this therapy and satisfied with the improvements. “I developed bad hay fever in my 30s, but I have found regular trips to The Salt Cave keep it under control. I can manage my condition much better now, even the really bad days. I still come to The Salt Cave out of hay fever season just to give my immune system a boost and it seems to help in winter. I haven’t had a cold in the winter months since I started my visits.” Mel F. Last winter I suffered five hospitalisations due to chest infections, the final one culminating in hospital-acquired pneumonia, for which I was on a ventilator for six days. I left the hospital after 19 days, severely weakened, with an oxygen concentrator machine. Being told by NHS respiratory nurses that “there is no cure, you should try to make the best of the time you have left” wasn’t exactly what I wanted to hear whilst trying to recover. I googled “alternative therapies for COPD” and up jumped The Salt Cave. I read about it, mulled it over, spoke to friends and thought what the heck, I can’t be any worse off. After my first session at Earlsfield I felt my breathing was a bit clearer. So I came back the next week and tried again. I’m delighted to report that since the third or fourth session I am now not using the nebuliser at all and have stopped completely taking the carbosistien tablets. I would recommend The Salt Cave highly to other COPD sufferers. I used to cough until I vomited, trying to clear phlegm for my windpipe and lungs. Now a gentle cough without even trying brings it up. The Salt Cave will literally change your life. I’m walking around almost normally, so if you have COPD please, please contact them and travel, no matter how far. The difference in my life is immeasurable – I cannot thank them enough. Many dark days in my life are behind me thanks to this treatment!” Alan S. “I was regularly on steroids and took 3 types of inhalers daily. I tried many different over the counter drugs but nothing ever worked. Caused chronic periods of sneezing and feeling very tired. I first came across the salt cave when I was pregnant with my first child and looking for a natural solution to my asthma and allergies. I found the adult cave extremely relaxing and healing and immediately felt my airways opening and breathing was easier. I was not waking up at night coughing or needing my inhalers. My chronic sneezing episodes also reduced considerably. I continue to come regularly now and bring my baby daughter along with me (so it’s not as relaxing anymore!) I would highly recommend the treatment as it is totally natural approach and has no side effects I would much rather have regular sessions in the cave than regular visits to the doctors accompanied by various drugs!” Nicki J.
